Pupil Premium Policy
Information
What is the pupil premium?

The Pupil Premium provides additional funding on top of the main funding a school receives. It is targeted at pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds to ensure they benefit from the same opportunities as pupils from less deprived families.
From September 2020, the pupil premium per pupil will be worth £1,345 and goes to pupils who at any point in the past 6 years have been in receipt of Free School Meals (FSM); £2,345 goes to any pupil who has been in local authority care or who has been adopted from care under the Adoption and Children Act 2002 or who has left care under a Special Guardianship, Residence or Child Arrangements Order.

How the Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) is spent is monitored closely with all schools accountable for the impact of the money spent. Please see our most recent PPG Strategy Statement for further information on how we are spending this year’s funding.
